MEET GLADYS

Gladys Olivia King is a devoted wife, mother, and servant of Jesus Christ based in Tallahassee by way of Orlando, Florida. Born to a Pastor and First Lady, her passion for faith-centered living was cultivated in her youth and fortified throughout her Christian experience. Her journey in ministry began with singing in the choir and leading praise and worship as a teen and adult. A strong writer, Gladys also used her gift of communication to pen inspirational messages that encouraged readers in the Lord. In 2018, this gift made room for her when she became the published author of, “Impurefect,” a powerful book that unpacks the umbrella of sexual sin and redefines a godly celibacy journey.

In 2024, Gladys humbly answered the call to preach and became a licensed minister at Family Worship & Praise Center in Tallahassee, Florida. With a passion for Christian education, she enjoys serving as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She is also the founder of The Courageous Collective, a community that fosters confidence and courage among women seeking spiritual growth, godly friendships, and moral support on their faith journeys.

Gladys is a proud alumna of Florida A&M University’s School of Journalism & Graphic Communication. Today, she works in corporate communications as a Public Information Officer and leads the marketing and social media ministry at her local church. Getting back to her journalistic roots, her upcoming podcast, Put It In Perspective, will feature candid conversations at the intersection of womanhood, culture and faith.

Whether she is writing, teaching, or fostering community among other believers, Gladys is dedicated to centering Christ in her service, relationships, and lifestyle. Her hope is to leverage her influence to encourage and empower others to do the same.
